Black ER professionals contend with challenges that colleagues of other backgrounds aren’t always aware of – but should be. From being underrepresented in the workforce to navigating socio-cultural movements like #BlackLivesMatter both personally and professionally, our Black peers have a unique perspective on employee relations and challenges in everyday work. All ER professionals will benefit from hearing the perspective of this group of leaders about handling compassion fatigue, combatting vicarious trauma, and dealing with unconscious bias during investigations. Take advantage of this important learning opportunity.
Erica Parker, Global Director of Employee Relations at DoorDash, will facilitate the discussion. Our panelists include:
- Andria Johnson, Director of People Operations, Red Venture
- Serena Barnett, Director of Employee Relations, Adobe
- Tiffany Alvoid, Sr. Employee Relations Business Partner, Intuit
- Kershia Johnson, Human Resources Business Partner, United Airlines
For every attendee, we will donate to the following organization:
- NOLIJ Foundation– an organization servicing the community through the founding principles of Education, Scholarship, Leadership, Awareness and Strengthening Communities.
We are also partnering with Black in HR, a community for professionals of color to learn, grow and network, to raffle off memberships to their platform for people who attend.
